Permanent collection
There is art to enjoy every day at the Auckland Botanic Gardens with permanent sculptures displayed within the plant collections. Grab a ‘Permanent Sculpture’ brochure from the Huakaiwaka Visitor Centre to plan your walk around them, or simply come across them as you wander.
This significant sculpture collection, now numbering 27 works, has been built up over 20 years, and funded by the Friends of the Auckland Botanic Gardens and other generous benefactors. Each art work has a story and a connection to its garden surroundings.
If you are visiting to walk the current Sculpture in the Gardens exhibition, many of these permanent sculptures can also be seen along the way. Pick up a brochure when you arrive at the Gardens.
Please scroll down to see our map of where all the works are in the Botanic Gardens.
